Mode coalescence and the Green’s function in a two-dimensional waveguide with arbitrary admittance boundary conditions

چکیده
This study focuses on sound attenuation in a two-dimensional waveguide with arbitrary admittance boundary conditions both sides of the guide. The emphasis is understanding formation and potential applications exceptional points (EPs) which arise when two (EP2) or three (EP3) modes degenerate into single mode. A perturbation approach used to obtain asymptotic expressions for trajectories axial wavenumbers complex plane as they coalesce form an EP. numerical results presented herein suggest that first triple root assures maximum modal along waveguide. Further, it demonstrated classical Green’s function at Modified functions are valid EP2 EP3 presented.
